About "The Tree and the Airplane"

About the artwork

At first glance, this image seems all about the trees—but then your eyes drift lower, and there it is: a plane, slicing through the negative space. It’s a quiet detail in an otherwise peaceful black-and-white scene. The branches curve and stretch across the frame like veins, dividing the sky with natural geometry. Light flickers on the leaves, catching just enough shimmer to pull your attention upward. What makes this shot unusual is the sense of scale—organic shapes above, contrasted by the distant sharpness of a human-made object leaving vapor trails across the sky. The framing feels intentional but unforced, like a brief pause during a walk when the composition simply reveals itself. Nothing about it is staged, yet everything feels exactly in place. The interplay of stillness and motion, nature and technology, adds a sense of balance without being too obvious. It’s not about the plane or the tree on its own—it’s about the moment they share the same frame, quietly crossing paths.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
