Stetind, Norway's majestic national mountain, rises in Nordland like a mighty, smoothly chiselled obelisk above the vast sky. When the day draws to a close and the sun is low over the fjord, its summit begins to glow a warm red - a quiet but powerful moment in which light and stone merge. The steep rock faces seem to drink in the evening fire, making the mountain appear for a moment as if it is glowing from within.
In the foreground, the Storelva, a clear, lively mountain stream, meanders over rounded stones. Its water captures the colours of the sky - gold, rose and a hint of blue - and carries them down into the open fjord, where the late sun is reflected once again. The gentle murmur of the stream forms a calming contrast to the monumental silence of Stetind.
This scenery unites the whole soul of northern Norway: rugged yet delicate, wild yet harmonious. A place where time becomes meaningless and the light itself writes stories - stories of rock, water and the endless breath of the north.
