The Square is a quadrangular square in the centre of The Hague, which was built in 1632 and was supposed to resemble the Place Royale (now Place des Vosges) in Paris. Because of its proximity to the Inner Court and the places where the government and parliament meet, the Square is often used as a place for political protest demonstrations and demonstrations.
