The weather app had forecast dawn and so the alarm clock was set for a time that took some getting used to. At first, the sky was still very overcast and the disappointment was correspondingly great.
But then a gap in the cloud cover opened up at just the right moment and the soft orange colour of dawn shone over the Wyck district.
The Sint-Servaasbrug is rightly recognised as the most beautiful stone bridge in the Netherlands. Photographing it is always a pleasure, as it looks photogenic from every perspective.
The picture was taken as a "real" panorama, i.e. not cropped to a standard format.
As a result, it has a resolution of more than 50 megapixels and is therefore also suitable for the largest print formats!
