The Purple-Red Fish
The Purple-Red Fish swims deep beneath the surface of a canal in a city. He deftly dodges the bicycles thrown into the water that lie at the bottom, there is even a complete Municipal Works fence! But he watches carefully for the floating plastic and other floating debris, as they can be deadly. Still, he likes it just fine; he is a city fish, and loves the light refracted in all sorts of colours by everything floating above him....
I like colour and chaos and raw, nothing has to follow the beaten path. The association that the colours in combination with the material and technique used conjure up and keep you focused is enough to put your imagination to work. Do you see the tree, the flower, the little man? The little bridge, the house, the road? The dog and the cat? Let your imagination run wild and discover!
                                
 
                                Born in Dordrecht and raised in Arnhem, with a stopover in Rotterdam for love. Taught here by Gerrit van Reede (G.J.A.) and yet, after a long period of portraits, only later took up abstract work. I love colour and chaos and just let it all happen... Read more…
