The Peperbrug(bridge 281) in Amsterdam.
Photographed from the bridge on the Oudeschans between Binnenkant and Oude Waal.
The Peperbrug connects the Peperstraat with the Nieuwe Uilenburgerstraat.
Since 2002, the Peperbrug has been a national monument.
The bridge was built in 1929 and is regularly maintained.
A 1599 map by Pieter Bast already shows a bridge at this spot.
Wikipedia:
The Register of Monuments described the bridge in 2017 as follows: 'A drawbridge with essentially three passages, the southernmost of which is capped. It is situated between expanded abutments of brick finished with natural stone. Further characteristics are the wooden bridge deck, a hamlet gate of riveted iron and a balance with latticework. The 1929 bridge railings are still present. The railings are of wrought iron.
