The Milkmaid and The Night Watch

by Digital Art Studio

This image is a creative compilation that combines iconic elements from Dutch art history into a single composition. On the left, Johannes Vermeer’s *The Milkmaid* is prominently depicted, pouring milk into a jug by a window. On the wall behind her hangs a framed version of Rembrandt van Rijn’s *The Night Watch*. A barking dog has been added in the bottom right-hand corner, taken from the painting *The Night Watch* (where it stands in the bottom right-hand corner next to the drummer). Above the milkmaid hangs a modern green pendant lamp, which adds an anachronistic element to the scene. About the artist: as someone born and bred in Amsterdam, Peter feels a close connection to the city. Over the years, he has captured the city of Amsterdam in many iconic works.

In addition, he has now also made a name for himself as a digital artist, particularly through his reinterpretations of the Old Masters (Vincent van Gogh, Johannes Vermeer and Rembrandt van Rijn), which he has given a modern twist and which fit perfectly into a contemporary interior, such as this unique piece. Peter’s' work is in high demand and can be found on walls across various European countries.
