The Magere Brug connects the quays of the Amstel at the level of Kerkstraat and Nieuwe Kerkstraat. The bridge, in its current state, dates from 1934 and was renovated, restored and adapted in 1961, 1986 and 1994.
The photo is executed in black and white and therefore gives it an artistic timeless look. Details are hereby emphasized in a beautiful way. Because color is missing, this can no longer give distraction. Composition, shapes, lines, fine gray nuances, structures and contrast ensure that this cityscape is a feast for the eyes and never bores.
