About "The Lookers"

About the artwork

The image raises fascinating questions: How do we look at other people? Do we see in them the foreign or the common? The people depicted look at each other while they are in a world with unusual physical conditions. This world alone demands attention.

Interestingly, the people in this strange environment do not seem disturbed, but accept it as a matter of course. The laws of this special world even connect them in an invisible way, as if they were linked by invisible ribbons. Some of them seem as if they could not leave their assigned place, as if they were spatially separated from each other.

Yet they share a common destiny, perhaps life on our planet Earth. The empty tent could symbolise that it is up to us not only to stare at the foreign, but also to create a home for all. It is not yet clear where this home will be, but it could be a place free from the political currents and differences in many countries.

The image invites us to reflect on our perception of community and our understanding of the foreign. It encourages us to build bridges and work together for a better world. What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
