Coming from the library in The Hague, I saw this reflection of the ceiling of The Hague Central Station in the large windows. As it was already approaching evening, this also gave it that deep blue colour interspersed with the lighter shade of the windows in the ceiling.
The colour gives a cool yet strangely warm feeling.
I think it was mainly the overall picture which looked like a modern painting that attracted me and captured my imagination.
Looking closer, I also found the distortions created by the reflection very attractive to see.
Personally, I think such an abstract image often looks best in a square form, hence this choice.
Who am I, a small intro:
Once started as an architecture photographer with Robert Oerlemans as my photography docent at the art academy in The Hague.
Later followed by a 4-year art study "visual" at the UCK in Utrecht and a screen printing course at the CKE in Eindhoven.
