The Golden Gate Bridge at night, trails of light from traffic hurtling past by Photo Wall Decoration

This evening photograph of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco was taken with a slow shutter speed, right in the middle of the bridge itself. It is rush hour: traffic is rushing across the bridge in both directions, and thanks to the long exposure time, the cars’ headlights and tail lights have been captured as flowing, colourful trails of light. The warm glow of the street lamps along the bridge deck and the Golden Gate Bridge’s distinctive orange-red cables provide an atmospheric contrast to the red and white trails of light from the traffic. This vantage point, close to the road surface, emphasises the dynamism and bustle of this iconic link between San Francisco and Marin County.

This composition shows a different side to the famous bridge: not as a tranquil subject for a distant photograph, but as a lively thoroughfare by night, across which thousands of people drive every day. The interplay of movement, light and the bridge’s static architecture makes this a dynamic addition to any photography collection.

This photograph of the Golden Gate Bridge is available as wall art in various sizes and materials, including canvas, aluminium and acrylic. An atmospheric eye-catcher for the living room, the office or any space where you appreciate dynamic night-time photography.
