About "The Gate at Sunset"

About the artwork

The work depicts a monumental gate-like opening rising from vertical bands of red, gold, blue and orange. Within the fields of colour, circular and rectangular patterns are visible, adding depth and rhythm to the structure. Through the opening, a sky can be seen in shades of blue, turquoise and soft red, with the glow of a setting sun low above the horizon.

At the foot of the composition are two small silhouettes looking towards the horizon. Their dark shapes contrast with the light falling through the opening and emphasise the scale of the surroundings.

The work combines geometric rigour with a strong colour gradient. The vertical strips and patterns provide order and rhythm, while the sky and sun add warm softness. The reflection of the sun in the foreground enhances the horizontal layering of the composition.

The work emphasises transition and perspective: the gate marks the boundary between space and light, and emphasises the relationship between man and environment.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
