About ‘The Eibsee in Upper Bavaria in the sunshine’ by Christina Bauer Photos

A magical view of Lake Eibsee in Upper Bavaria under bright sunshine. With a marvellous view of the mountains, this scene provides a breathtaking backdrop. The sun glistens on the ice surface and in the water. Two sun stars are great eye-catchers in this special picture. I was able to capture them with a small aperture and the right angle of view. Backlit shots are a challenge and always exciting for me to capture sunstars. It was a mild morning in March when the sun slowly peeked out from behind the mountain and bathed the landscape in a new light. You could immediately feel the warmth where there had previously been a cold, shady spot. The deep blue sky was clear and cloudless. At the back of the picture you can recognise the Eibsee Hotel, which stands on the shore of the lake. A few boathouses can also be seen there. I was standing on the rocky shore, later I had made myself comfortable in the sun. Cool blue, warm sunshine and boulders in the sunlight. A picture full of contrasts. The way life is and the sun shines again and again and the shadows give way.
