The Bergkerk in the sun with bike path and colourful clouds by Bart Ros

Discover the enchanting combination of history and contemporary dynamism with my latest artwork, "The Bergkerk in the Sun". This image captures the timeless beauty of the Bergkerk in Deventer, a jewel of medieval architecture, bathed in warm sunlight. The cycle path in the foreground adds an element of modern vibrancy, while the colourful clouds above the church form a picturesque background.

This photo is a celebration of the harmonious fusion of old and new, with the historic Mountain Church blending seamlessly into the everyday life of the city. The sun casts a golden glow over the church, making the stones appear to glow and highlighting the details of the architecture. The colourful clouds in the sky add a dynamic and almost dreamlike element to the scene.

As a photographer, I used my Nikon Z8 to capture this beautiful moment, carefully balancing the interaction between light, architecture and the natural surroundings. The result is an image that shows not only the beauty of the Bergkerk, but also the vibrant character of Deventer.
