Via the Barents Sea, a fringe sea of the Atlantic Ocean north of Russia and Norway, we sailed into the area of Kirkenes. Kirkenes is a small town in the Norwegian province of Finnmark. It is the main town of the municipality of Sør-Varanger.
Whereas on the Barens Sea it was still wild, here it appeared that there was only serene calm and the water was like a mirror in front of us. I have rarely seen anything so beautiful.
