About the artwork

On the vast fields, where the grassland smiles,
Plays the godwit, in 't sunlight softly.
A primeval Dutch bird, proud and fine,
In farmland, where 't balance may be.

With its beak slender and body long,
It brings joy, a lovely song.
In Friesland, North and South Holland, his domain,
He builds his nest, among the high hay, oh so funny.

In February he returns again, full of zest for life,
At puddles and meadows, a paradise full of peace.
The breeding season begins, a true feast,
With courtship flights high in the sky, oh so fine.

Not a colony brother, but friendly neighbour,
Together with conspecifics, a safe adventure.
A simple grass nest, hidden in the tall grass,
There it breeds, in its natural class.

The black-tailed godwit, chosen by Dutch vote,
In 2015, the national bird, a dreamed them.
With wings waving in the morning glow,
The godwit, ambassador of 't Dutch good.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
