The Anna forest on Voorne-Putten is east of Rockanje in the province of South Holland. (The Netherlands) I took the photo towards evening. It was nice and quiet at that time. the Anna's is a nature reserve managed by the Vereniging Natuurmonumenten and consists of varied forest with a watercourse (Sluiswatering) and grasslands in a polder landscape. Its area is 4 km2. The forest was planted in 1980 after land consolidation. At the edge of the forest are grasslands. Saline seepage rises from the subsoil, causing salt-tolerant plants such as sea purslane, sea aster, saline rush and saline spurge to occur here. A few rare plant species grow here, including tuberose foxtail and black mullein. The petite grass damselfly, observed here, is a not very common dragonfly. The atmosphere is set by the calm water and exuberant vegetation. The image provides tranquillity and therefore fits into almost any interior.
