About ‘Thaw at the Kinselmeer near Amsterdam’ by Freek Rooze
The Kinselmeer on the north-east side of Amsterdam is popular with sport fishermen and water sports enthusiasts. Around it is a protected meadow bird area. But on this winter afternoon, with the last bits of ice on the water surface, meadow birds are hard to find. The beautiful sky makes the picture extra worth watching.
