Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.

About ‘Tea plantation Ooty India’ by Hans Lok

India is more than dust, heat and temples. Further from the coast in the south are the hills. These are so high that it is cooler and clearer there. Reason for the British in colonial times to go there in the hot summer months. even today, they are popular holiday spots. Tea is also grown there. Ridge after ridge is coloured dark green by the tea bushes that grow in long circular rows up to the peaks with paths in between for the women and men who harvest the leaves. all together, it is a work of art that takes on an almost meditative character because of its shape. portraying this is an exercise in form to ensure that the atmosphere of this special landscape is captured.

My great loves are the water and everything about it. Ships, travel, history and photography. The combination is therefore very common in my photographic work. Most photographs are created intuitively. It is an image that strikes me, usually a combination of form and color in which a part of reality is framed into an image. The result is a fitting form.
