Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.

About ‘Tamed surf at Skagsanden beach’ by Nando Harmsen

Skagsanden beach is well-known. The flat sand shows stripes and often a reflection of the iconic mountain on the horizon.

Right next to it, there are stones, where the surf of the sea smashes on. It gives a totally different picture, where the power of the sea can come into its own.

By using a very long shutter speed, it becomes possible to bring out the calm in the turbulent water between the rocks. It thus forms a soft and atmospheric image where shape of rock and mountain can come into its own.

The cloud in front of the iconic mountain by the beach that lies close to the hamlet of Flakstad adds an extra layer to the photo. This gives the photo a unique look rarely seen there.
