Tail raised in the countryside – a coati foraging for food by Jiri Viehmann

Amidst lush green meadows, a white-snouted coati moves attentively through the grass, following its natural curiosity. With its snout lowered, the animal searches the ground intently for food, whilst the soft daylight highlights the warm markings on its fur. Particularly striking is its upturned, ringed tail, which rises like a signal from the tall grass and gives the animal its characteristic silhouette. The scene from the province of Alajuela captures a tranquil moment of wildlife, characterised by movement and mindfulness.

The coati embodies the vibrant diversity of Costa Rica’s wildlife. Its alert posture and gentle movements reflect the constant cycle of foraging and survival that unfolds daily in natural habitats. At the same time, the image conveys a playful lightness typical of these social and curious animals.

The lush green surroundings create a fresh, natural atmosphere, harmonising tranquillity with vitality. As wall art, the motif appears both friendly and dynamic, bringing a touch of tropical wilderness into the room. It invites you to consciously notice the small, often overlooked moments of nature and to discover the beauty of simple moments.

An authentic glimpse into the quiet daily life of a wild animal in the heart of Costa Rica.
