About ‘TOO PUFF TO PEEL’ by Victor Weijers

Too Puff To Peel is a playful yet iconic work within the PUFFER COUTURE collection. Here, an everyday banana is elevated into a sculptural fashion object by completely enveloping it in a luxurious, deep-purple puffer texture. Where a banana normally symbolises simplicity, accessibility and fragility, this design transforms it into something unexpected: an object no longer meant to be eaten, but to be admired.

The quilted structure closely follows the characteristic curvature of the banana, elegantly fusing form and textile. Floating the object in a minimalist, white setting creates an airy lightness that contrasts with the visual softness of the puffer design.

The title Too Puff To Peel underlines the work's humour: this banana is too soft, too warm and too couture to ever be peeled again. The piece invites the viewer to think about how material and context can completely change our interpretation of a simple object. In this way, the banana becomes a fashion icon - and a smile moment in any space where it hangs.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
