About the artwork

"The Vibrant Girl" captures the essence of youth and resilience in a mixed-media portrait. In a kaleidoscope of orange and aqua layers, the portrait of the girl radiates with an unmistakable energy, symbolizing the vibrancy of life. The contrasting hues reflect her lively spirit and the complexity of her emotions.

In this Mixed Media painting , with a background of concrete and rust, you can see the contrast of urban decay and the radiant presence of the girl. The interplay between the warm, vibrant tones and the cool, industrial textures suggests a harmonious balance between strength and fragility. The concrete and rusty elements represent the challenges and hardships she faces, while her vibrant colors indicate the resilience she overcomes.

I used several techniques for this Mixed Media / Collage portrait.
Painted concrete backgrounds mixed with watercolor layers. Over that, a drawn and painted face of a young woman.
And finally transparent layers partially falling over the girl.

About db Waterman

I remembered that as a young girl I so much liked to cut images from magazines to paste them into school agendas, scrapbooks and even on my bedroom door. Add to this the fascination I always had for walls filled with old posters, flaking paint, scrappy billboards.. Read more…

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
