About "Swell - frozen in ice"

About the artwork

During a photo tour through the harbour area of the Hanseatic city of Wismar, I discovered the replica of the Poeler Kogge lying dormant on the pier in Wismar's Old Harbour. It was moored in front of the old warehouses of the Speicherstadt. The surrounding harbour water had solidified in the waves during the previous bitterly cold night to form a gracefully uneven curved surface. The atmosphere of the moment was characterised by cold on the one hand, but on the other hand the oblique winter late afternoon light shone on the scenery with an impressive warmth. For me, the artwork conveys a pleasantly warm feeling; on the other hand, the coldness of the harbour ice contrasts with the moment I experienced. The artwork is a photograph. It can inspire the buyer to visit exactly this place, for example to live in one of the warehouses for a short time or to look forward to the summer. In summer, that Pole cog called "Wissemara" organises extensive cruises through the Wismar Bay and out into the Baltic Sea. This image could take the form of

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
