They look like candyfloss made, the pink flowers of the magnolia tree. As fresh, soft and sweet as they look, so do they smell. The tree is beautiful, but its flowering only lasts for a short time. The flowering starts before the leaves start growing, which is precisely why the magnolia looks so full and rich.
I love pastel pink and so it is no surprise that I love photographing this tree. The large flowers don't always make it easy to capture it atmospherically but with the telephoto lens, I managed to do just that.
During sunrise, the colours are extra soft and warm, which is precisely why I chose to get out of bed early to photograph this little scene.
This tree was in the heart of Rotterdam, which shows that you don't always have to leave the city to take a beautiful nature photo. The photo fits into a colourful interior. It does not matter whether the interior consists of quiet pastel shades or brighter colours. It will look great anywhere.
Or what about a wallpaper of this photo, that must be insane, don't you think? Then you really will have a super cheerful eye-catcher in your living room or bedroom.
