The Svartifoss ('black waterfall') is a beautiful waterfall, 20 meters high, surrounded by columns of black basalt. It is located in Skaftafell, part of the Vatnajökull National Park.
The basalt columns were created because lava was able to cool very slowly, which allowed the molten rock to crystallize.
Landscape photographer and drone pilot Koen Henderickx will gladly take you on a discovery of the most beautiful places, both close by or a little further away.
His mission is to introduce people to the beauty of nature, from water, the land or in the sky via drones.
