Surrealist Painting: Tower of Blocks with a Golden Top by Surreal Media

When you look at this work, the first thing you see is the tower: a stack of gigantic blocks rising high above a rocky landscape. Each surface appears to be made of marbled stone, with veins of orange, peach and deep blue running across the edges. If you look for longer, you’ll discover the details I’d rather keep hidden. Amidst the warm blocks is a single small green surface, almost like a window. Right at the very top, a tiny golden triangle balances, as if someone had finished the tower with a single gentle gesture. And on the right, on the hill, stand two small figures, which suddenly give the entire structure a human scale.

It began with the feeling of a celebration in forms: blocks that collide yet remain standing. I thought about how something grand can arise from simple, solid pieces, and how light then dances around them.

The atmosphere is warm and open. On the left, the sky is coloured a fiery orange by the setting sun; on the right, white clouds pile up against a cool blue. Around the base of the tower, clouds curl like soft steam, and the last light is reflected in the water below.

For me, this work is about building: building a dream, a plan, a life. It is a digital artwork with the look of a refined, painterly landscape featuring shimmering, marbled surfaces. In a living room or study, it can be an invitation to think big, for anyone who loves architecture, imagination or sweeping skies.
