About ‘Sunset over the beach with trees washed ashore in New Zealand’ by Paul van Putten
The beach of Wairoa on the North Island of New Zealand is black and full of wreckage: washed ashore trees and pieces of wood. The village lies on the east coast, on the famous Hawke's Bay. At sunset, the water evaporates against the coast and gives a very special effect. It's like placing a sepia filter over your picture.

I love traveling and photographing. My favorite types of photography are street photography and landscape photography. I usually take colorful photos. But sometimes a photo comes out better in black and white.
My favourite countries to photograph so far are Scotland and New Zealand. They have the agreement that they have beautiful nature and also a lot of opportunities to hike.
