Sunset over the IJsselmeer: A Modern Wind Farm at Golden Hour by Fotografiecor .nl

This photograph captures the tranquil magic of the IJsselmeer as the last rays of the sun fade. The composition emphasises the mirror-like water and the repetitive lines of the wind farm, which stand out almost sculpturally against the sky thanks to the soft, raking light. The subtle colour gradations of the sunset create a deep, spatial effect.

As a photographer, I am deeply fascinated by the interplay between the cultivated landscape and the elements. The IJsselmeer is not only the largest inland lake in the Netherlands; it is a place where technology and nature meet. This image showcases the modern side of our Dutch waters, encapsulated in the timeless tranquillity of a summer’s evening.

This work is a powerful ‘statement piece’ for a modern, minimalist interior or an office environment. The geometric shapes of the wind turbines, combined with the soft colour tones, bring both tranquillity and dynamism to a space. For the best result, I recommend a finish on acrylic glass; this enhances the reflection of the water and the intensity of the sunset.

Bring the modern serenity of the IJsselmeer into your home. Transform your wall with this unique artwork and let the room glow in the colours of the evening.
