Around nine o'clock in June, I was lying among the tufts of grass watching the sunset, initially I only wanted to capture the setting sun but I suddenly thought it might be possible to do something different by using these very tufts as the main focus of the photo.
I turned on my flash and used it to expose the plumes and adjusted the exposure so that the rest of the landscape was also fine.
The church is the 1934 R.K. Onze Lieve Vrouwe Hemelvaartkerk of Nieuwkoop in the province of South Holland.
