The second mill or middle mill of the Molenviergang Aarlanderveen was built in 1869 to replace an earlier mill from 1786 that burned down in 1868. It has a paddle wheel with a diameter of 6.12 m and has been owned by the Molenviergang Aarlanderveen Foundation since 1963. The mill drains the drained polder on the west side of Aarlanderveen and was repaired and rebuilt in 1956. In 1974 and 1975, the leaning mill was straightened and major maintenance followed in 2010.
