About the artwork

* Malcesine Sunset * Black and white photography.
The picture shows the harbour of Malcesine in the beautiful evening light.
The sun shows its last rays over the mountains and bathes the houses and the idyllic harbour with its small boats and the beautiful promenade in a pleasant warm light.
The Garda Lake (also known as Lago di Garda or Benaco in Italian) is the largest lake in Italy and is located in Northern Italy at the foot of the Alps near the Dolomites.
The landscape around the lake is characterised by towering mountains and typical Italian and Mediterranean vegetation with palm, lemon and olive trees.
Around the lake there are many beautiful villages and small towns such as Malcesine, Riva del Garda , Torbole , Arco , Desenzano , Lazise , Tenno , Sirmione or Bardolino.
Bardolino is also a famous wine-growing area named after the town of the same name which belongs to the Veneto region. Very typical for the lake are also its winds Pelèr and Ora, which means that the lake is also used a lot for surfing and sailing.
