The Slufter is a beach area enclosed largely by dunes on the Dutch Wadden Island of Texel, which is in open communication with the North Sea, creating a salt marsh landscape.
The Slufter is part of the Dunes of Texel National Park. The area is owned by Staatsbosbeheer. It has an area of more than 700 hectares (land and water). In the southeast corner there is a viewpoint and an entrance. You can "stroll" in the southern part of the area. This part is probably the most visited salt marsh in Europe.
