About ‘Sunlight on the North Sea’ by Aafje Meerdink

The coast of North Holland, the sun is already starting to sink a bit as it is late afternoon. The water of the sea is a mirror. The light from the sun falls under the wing. Aerial photography is also about being lucky and making do with the conditions that are there. That makes it unpredictable because anything can happen. And that's what makes it so beautiful for me. It changes, always.

A golden glow, a cascade of sunlight bounces off us onto the sea.

Nature is enchantingly beautiful. I can catch it with the camera rap. What a beautiful sunlight reflects there on the water.

For me, these are the golden moments with aerial photography. The glow of the light on the water. Flying, the sea and the light a moment of absolute tranquillity. That's all this aerial photographer needs. I can continue to enjoy this photo. It never bores.

I also captured that moment and that feeling with the camera. I hope I can give you that piece of feeling of what I see there from above.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
