About the artwork

Sunflowers are iconic and vibrant flowering plants known for their large and distinctive yellow flower heads.

Sunflowers typically have a tall stem, large leaves and one large flower head. The flower head consists of numerous small flowers arranged in a spiral pattern. The central disc of the flower head contains small, tubular flowers that develop into seeds. The outer petal-like structures are called ray flowers.

Sunflowers are grown for various purposes, including ornamental gardening, producing sunflower oil and harvesting edible seeds. They are annual plants, meaning they complete their life cycle in one growing season.

Young sunflowers exhibit heliotropism, meaning they follow the sun across the sky, facing east in the morning and west in the evening. However, as the flower matures, it tends to be fixed in an easterly direction.

Sunflower seeds are a popular snack and are also pressed to extract sunflower oil, which is used in cooking and various industrial applications.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
