About ‘John Frostbrug’ by Jeroen de Jongh Photography

The John Frost Bridge, popularly known as the Rhine Bridge, is a traffic bridge in Arnhem-Centrum across the river Nederrijn. The bridge is named after the English Lieutenant Colonel John Dutton Frost. In the Second World War, the bridge played an important role because of the airborne landing and battle of the Allied troops in September 1944, as part of Operation Market Garden.

The bridge is an important connection in the route from Arnhem North to Arnhem South and vice versa. The bridge was named on 16 September 1978 after John Dutton Frost, who, as lieutenant colonel of the second battalion of the First British Airborne Brigade during the Battle of Arnhem, reached the bridge but failed to capture it entirely from the Germans. Every year in September a national memorial concert takes place at the bridge. The bridge is the backdrop for many films; the most famous is undoubtedly A Bridge Too Far.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
