To me, this paper collage exudes the tranquillity of the moment I made it - on a Sunday afternoon.
For my collages, I use all kinds of paper that I first worked with a gelplate. This is a monoprint technique where you use paint, stencils and found objects to create layered prints.
The flower shape is actually a real leaf of the Lupine, used as a mask on the gelplate.
The colours give this collage an autumnal look.
Ariane is a Dutch artist who have been living in Western Australia for the past 25 years. A few years ago she changed careers from financial marketing to paper cut art.
