A bag of sunflower seed had been sitting in a drawer for many years, waiting for a good time to sow. Summer 2020 it finally arrived. Exciting, because would they still bloom in time, before the winter season? They did! Beautiful little sunflowers colored the late fall with cheerful yellow. When it started to freeze I took the last flowers (in their little pots) inside. Finally I arranged them in my yellow vase. It was a mess and I enjoyed it immensely. It reminded me of paintings by Van Gogh. Of course I had to take photos (lots of them!). And of course I had to edit one digitally. Et voilà, an image that appears to be made with colored pencils, and in it three sunflowers are left extremely sharp, with bright colors.
