About ‘Summit Lake in Yukon Territories’ by Mel van Schayk

After a long day on dirt roads, the relatively flat landscape with pine trees and gravel roads turns into a paved road. we climb considerably and end up on beautiful mountain roads. The view of Summit Lake in the early evening is phenomenal!!! From a great height you look down on the shimmering lake with the mountains of the Rockey Mountains in the background.
This photo was taken from the provincial park in Yukon Territories overlooking Summit Lake where we spent the night.
The relatively dark colors give this work something mystical with an endless view to the horizon.
