Naples is best known for its delicious pizzas, for the crime series Gomorrah and for the laundry hanging from balconies and drying. Naples is raw, overwhelming and impressive. There is so much to see that you could easily spend a week wandering around. The streets are colorful and hectic.
I spent two weeks in Naples and I still feel like I have barely seen anything of the city. There are so many museums, palaces, churches, little squares and bars and restaurants. And then there's plenty to see in the Naples area too, like the volcano Vesuvius, the flower island of Capri, the remains of Pompeii or Herculaneum and the slightly more distant Amalfi Coast. Nice to discover the surroundings of Naples with the Circumvesuviana, a train that runs through the Gulf of Naples.
Naples is a port city and the capital of the Campania region and is the largest city in southern Italy.
Diana and Ronnie like to travel to areas where few tourists come.
