The Strahov Monastery in Prague is especially famous for its imposing library. The Philosophical Hall of the Strahov Library houses historical books in baroque ceiling-high cabinets. The Theological Hall includes mostly Bibles. The ceiling painting of the Strahov Library shows Moses with the tablets of the law and the apostle Paul preaching before an altar. Seventeenth century frescoes on the walls show how studying God's word leads to wisdom. Dutch globes, also from the seventeenth century, show off in the center of the room.
