I took this picture in my hometown Vlissingen (The Netherlands), during stormy weather in the spring of 2021. You can walk under the Keizersbolwerk with the Kazematten to the harbor head. There you stand almost with your feet in the Westerschelde and you experience the storm very intense.
I like to be here in all seasons because there is always something to see.
Like now, when the whipped up sea splashes apart on the pier.
I have tried to process these violent weather conditions into a balanced and somewhat tranquil image by working with black and white so that the image fits into any interior.
