Alfred Henry Maurer (1868 - 1932) was an American modernist painter. He exhibited his work in international avant-garde circles and in New York City in the early 20th century. His work, highly respected today, enjoyed little critical or commercial success during his lifetime, and he died, by suicide, at the age of sixty-four.
