Late August, the Hydrangeas are blooming profusely. Here as a still life in a vase with a sprig of Valerian and weeping willow. On the wooden table a few freshly picked, overripe figs a pair of scissors and twine. A large number of plums, Reine Claude, partly in a green earthenware bowl and still partly in a green, blue silk cloth in which the abundant harvest was carried. The rich life in the golden light of late summer.
