The Museum Steam Tram Hoorn-Medemblik is a historic steam tram in the Netherlands, running through the picturesque landscape of North Holland on a 20-kilometre route between Hoorn and Medemblik.

The steam tram is a heritage railway originally part of the network of steam trams in the Netherlands. The specific route between Hoorn and Medemblik was once part of the network of the Hollandsche IJzeren Spoorweg-Maatschappij in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

With the Museum Steam Tram you step back in time. The tram carriages are carefully restored to their original condition and offer passengers an authentic travel experience from the steam era. Passengers can enjoy the sights and sounds of days gone by as the steam tram tumbles along the tracks.

Tulips are native to the area that became known as Kazakhstan, then part of the Ottoman Empire. The genus' range extends from the Iberian Peninsula through North Africa to Greece, the Balkans, Turkey, the Middle East, Syria, Israel, Lebanon, Jordan, Iran, Ukraine, southern Siberia, Mongolia and northwestern China.

Tulips need a cold night and a cold winter to grow, so they cannot be grown in warm climates. New bulbs are grown by planting tulip bulbs in autumn. Over 75% of cultivated tulip bulbs are destined for flower production at home or abroad. The rest are sold to consumers as flower bulbs or end up in parks and public gardens. The flowering period runs from April to June.
