About ‘Stand alone’ by Sander Poppe

After a period of warm weeks with clear skies, the change in weather brought more pleasant temperatures and picturesque cloud cover. On one of these special mornings, I photographed the characteristic pile head at Den Osse, beautifully situated on Lake Grevelingen in Zeeland. This unique nature reserve is known for its pristine beauty and peaceful atmosphere, ideal for nature lovers and photographers.

The pebble beach in Den Osse naturally leads your gaze to the wooden pile head, which towers above the still water like a beacon. In the background, the rising sun slowly appears, creating warm colours in the sky and a magical play of light on the mirror-smooth lake. Thanks to the clouds, the morning light was beautifully diffused, resulting in an enchanting sunrise characteristic of this region of Zeeland.

Den Osse and Lake Grevelingen are not only popular with photographers, but also with hikers, cyclists and water sports enthusiasts. The area offers plenty of recreational opportunities and is a perfect destination for a relaxing day in nature. Enjoy the peace, the views and the unique atmosphere at Den Osse and discover for yourself why Lake Grevelingen is so popular in Zeeland.

Hello, my name is Sander Poppe. I am a landscape and seascape photographer, born in Zeeland and living in the Alblasserwaard region of the Netherlands. Nature, and especially the sea, is the common thread running through my life and photography.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
