A staircase in a patch of jungle, or rather primary forest (it is not tropical), on Sao Miguel, Azores (Portugal).
This staircase can be found via a route that leads past an old, abandoned hydroelectric plant where you walk on the old pipes through the forest.
This photo was taken with a full-frame Canon camera, 35mm lens, f/2, 1/250s and ISO 400.

We are both biologists and through our profession rolled into photography. Since 2010 we have been making commissioned images. These are often reportages, but also custom photography. For example, for on the wall.
Part of this we make available through Werkaandemuur.
Feel free to take a look in our shop.
