WW2 mine boxes as coastal defences
The concrete coffins on the coastal side at Sneum Sluise originated from German mines that were not laid until May 1945. The coffins were to serve as concrete anchors for the mines.
In Tjæreborg there was a large depot with such concrete boxes. After the war, the square had to be cleared and the coffins were given a new peacetime task at Sneumsluis. The concrete coffins stand here today as coastal defences
