About the artwork
As I sat quietly on the terrace of a chalet on the edge of the forest. I saw a couple of squirrels running around among the trees. I followed them with my camera. They are so playful and quick. Luckily, one of them took a rest to go and eat a nice mast apple in a tree. I think he did notice me. Because of the long distance, he did not feel threatened by me and my camera so I could photograph him calmly.
The telephoto lens created a nice hazy soft background of green and more shades of colour behind the brown squirrel. In the foreground, hedera runs up along the tree giving the picture a nice natural frame.
The sunlight gives the squirrel's fur a nice soft sheen. In his little eye you can see a glint. He really seems to be enjoying his meal.
