About ‘Spring hills – Pieterpad’ by Wietske Westra

This work is part of my series Spring – Pieterpad, inspired by my walks along the Pieterpad. While walking through the countryside, it is often striking how the fields and hills follow each other in layers. The colours change with the seasons and the light, while clouds move quietly across the sky.

In this image, you see a rolling landscape with a field in soft purple tones, surrounded by fresh green hills. On the horizon, a dark edge of trees forms the transition between land and sky.

Above the landscape, light clouds drift through a clear spring sky. The work is made with chalk. The colours lie in soft layers on top of each other and the texture of the chalk remains visible, giving the landscape a light and dreamy appearance.

For me, this work is about tranquillity and space in the landscape. About the feeling you get when you stand still and experience the rhythm of nature around you. This work brings a calm and gentle atmosphere to an interior.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
